Her Story

Storytellers by the act of telling can change minds, lives and the world

I am Aisha, I'm 16 years old, I love listening to Elissa and watching American movies. I'm a Syrian refugee living in a refugee camp with my mother and two brothers.  Each time I've gone to the city to look for work, I come across the same problem.

'I don't have work for you, but if you're single, I can come introduce myself to your family and get married to you?'

I don't want to get married, I only want to work. I don't know what to do.

This project is a prototype to create spaces for refugee women to share stories using audio and build a platform for support, expressive participation and information sharing around sensitive issues.  We would welcome your constructive feedback!
